I apologize for stopping the podcasst without notification, life got/is a little crazy. I'm trying to finish my research, finish my thesis, get a job, had a new baby, work both jobs, sell the house, move, and more. I am going to try to start the podcast up again summer 08. Thanks to all who sent email, there is no way I will be able to reply to it all.
Welcome to the home of the Mathgrad Podcast where we discuss everyday math for everyday people. My goal is to discuss the mathematics behind many real life topics in a way that even the worst mathphobe will gain some insight.

Topics will range from the math underlying voting schemes to the mathematics of loan payments, ect. We will explore the ways in which a little bit of math knowledge can become a very powerful tool in your life.
My hope is that this podcast becomes a tool for people to empower themselves. Despite popular belief, a basic math knowledge can help you maximize your experiences in everyday life. I also would like to see this podcast become an educational tool for high school and early college students, as well as people of all ages.
